Job summary

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking an OMICS Technical Expert - Lab Manager III to lead daily lab operations, supervise technical staff, and ensure CAP/CLIA-aligned performance. You will oversee automated systems, develop assays, and maintain rigorous data logging and traceability across multi-omics workflows.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, with strong collaboration across directors, investigators, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 5 years of lab management experience preferred.
• Experience with clinical testing workflows and CAP/CLIA compliance.
• Ability to program, troubleshoot, and operate automated/liquid handling systems.
• Strong communication with Directors, investigators and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day laboratory operations and ensure safety compliance.
• Oversee QA/QC and cross-platform harmonization across assays.
• Train new lab staff and sign off on competency documents.
• Maintain accurate data logs and traceability in LIMS.
