Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1 year of experience required to perform the job.
• Experience coordinating patient care in a dental or medical office; familiar with medical/dental terminology and coding; substitutions allowed with a high school diploma + 3 years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures for OMFS, acting as liaison between patients, surgeons, and medical staff.
• Obtain authorizations and schedule pre-operative appointments; communicate pre-operative instructions to patients.
• Maintain patient records and collaborate with departments within the external healthcare facility.
• Coordinate referrals, appointments, surgical schedules, and follow-up activities; support faculty surgeons, residents, clinical staff, referring providers, and patients.
