Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in surgery scheduling.
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities.
• Experience with EMR and scheduling systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling of all surgeries to maximize unit efficiency.
• Maintain a 7-day paper schedule as a backup for downtime.
• Notify stakeholders of schedule changes and print daily schedules.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to coordinate appointments.
• Utilize EMR to compile data and generate department reports.
• Attach physician orders to patient records to ensure proper care.
• Communicate professionally with physicians and office staff.
• Support teamwork with nursing and ancillary departments.
• Report patient safety issues through established systems.
• Assist in resolving patient concerns and uphold Code of Conduct.
