Qualifications

• Experience as a Japanese cuisine or Sushi Chef.
• Proficient knife skills for precise cutting and slicing of ingredients.
• Knowledge and practical experience in food hygiene and safety management.
• In-depth knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and Japanese cuisine preferred.
• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills and etiquette.
• Valid Hawaii Food Handlers Card.
• Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and plate high-quality sushi for guests.
• Manage prep work, cooking, and plating while maintaining cleanliness.
• Inventory control and enforcing kitchen sanitation standards.
• Train and supervise assistant sushi chefs.
