Job summary

UTMB Health is seeking a Federal Work Study Student for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) in Galveston, Texas. This non-benefits position honors a up-to 19-hour work week and supports clerical, secretarial, and office operations while assisting with classes, events, and communications.

The role requires being a UTMB student at least half-time with proven MS Office proficiency, AV know-how, and a strong attention to detail. Evening/weekend flexibility may be needed.

Qualifications

• UTMB Student at least half-time
• Familiarity with aging-related needs is preferred
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical and office administrative support for the OLLI program
• Assist with class registrations, inquiries, and information requests
• Coordinate setup for classrooms, events, and activities, including seating arrangements
• Support technology needs for classes (Zoom, MS Teams) and calendar management
• Create program announcements, eBlasts, newsletters, and publish materials
• Assist with course evaluations and document collection
• Represent OLLI at events and prepare materials as needed
• Provide positive customer service and collaborate to improve efficiency
• Perform other related duties as assigned
