Hongene Biotech Corporation is hiring a Scientist specializing in Oligonucleotide Synthesis in Union City, CA. The role encompasses synthesis, purification, characterization, and process optimization for customer, CRO, and internal projects.

You will design experiments, interpret data, and drive improvements with support from senior scientists. You will work on establishing robust, scalable processes, troubleshooting chemistry challenges, and collaborating across QC, Chemistry/R&D, and

Formación

BS/MS in Chemistry or related with oligonucleotide experience (BS 5+ yrs; MS 3+ yrs); PhD typically Sr.
Hands-on oligonucleotide synthesis and solid-phase chemistry experience.
Experience in purification methods and analytical characterization of oligos.
Proficiency with HPLC/UPLC, ÄKTA chromatography systems, and LC-MS.
Strong troubleshooting and collaborative work style.
Ability to work on-site in Union City, California.

Responsabilidades

Synthesize DNA/RNA and modified oligos; optimize yield and scale.
Support process scale-up and material generation for projects.
Perform synthesis preparation, cleavage, deprotection, and processing.
Maintain accurate records and report progress with QC, Chemistry/R&D, and manufacturing.
Operate and maintain oligonucleotide synthesizers and chromatography systems.
Prepare technical reports and communicate risks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and share know-how.
