Job summary

WaterBridge in Houston, TX is hiring a Logistics Controller to dispatch company and contracted drivers for oil hauling and service work. You will monitor driver status, load progress, and field activity to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations.

The role reports to the Sr. Manager, Asset Management & Reliability and partners with multiple departments to optimize logistics planning and data entry. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years in Logistics Dispatch; Oil & Gas preferred.
• No degree required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills; multitask effectively.
• Able to work in team settings or independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to liaise between corporate, field staff and third parties.
• Proficient with data entry and repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch company and/or contracted drivers for scheduled and on-demand loads.
• Monitor driver status, hours of service, and route progress; document thoroughly in dispatch system.
• Monitor SCADA systems and field cameras to validate activity and safety.
• Track loads from pickup to delivery and update systems in real time.
• Communicate with drivers, terminals, customers, and carriers to resolve issues.
• Adjust dispatch plans due to delays or changes in conditions.
• Verify bills of lading, delivery receipts, and load documentation.
• Enter and maintain load, mileage, and delivery data in dispatch system.
• Support compliance with DOT, FMCSA and safety requirements.
• Assist with detention tracking, layover reporting, and exception management.
• Generate daily dispatch, utilization, and on-time performance reports.
