Job summary

ABB in the United States seeks a Strategic Segment Leader for Oil & Gas and Chemical to drive growth across the US. You will identify and qualify opportunities before formal RFQs, build executive relationships with owner/operators, EPCs, consultants, OEMs, and integrators, and enable sales teams with market insights.

This role reports to the U.S. Segment Strategy Leader - Industry, Buildings & Channel (IBC) and requires a Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience, including 5+ years in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field required.
• 10+ years relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years in business development, strategic sales, or market development.
• Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refining, Midstream, or Chemical industry experience.
• Solid understanding of industrial power distribution, electrification, automation, or related technologies.
• Ability to travel approximately 40-60% within the United States.
• Candidates already have work authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute ABB's Oil & Gas and Chemical segment growth strategy across the United States.
• Identify, qualify, and develop strategic growth opportunities before projects enter formal procurement stages.
• Build executive-level relationships with owner/operators, EPCs, consultants, OEMs, and integrators.
• Establish ABB thought leadership through conferences, trade associations, and industry engagement.
• Provide market intelligence and market insights to the sales organization.
• Partner with district sales teams to transition qualified opportunities for execution.
• Coordinate cross-business opportunities spanning Electrification, Motion, and Automation portfolios.
• Serve as the Voice of the Market and shape ABB strategy through customer insight.
