Job summary
ABB seeks a Strategic Segment Leader for Oil & Gas and Chemical in the United States to drive growth and develop opportunities before formal RFQs. You will build executive relationships with owner/operators, EPCs, consultants, OEMs and integrators while coordinating with district sales teams across ABB portfolios.
The role demands deep industry knowledge, a hunter mindset, and proven ability to create a robust pipeline and to travel within the US as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years in business development, strategic sales, or market development.
- Experience engaging executive-level customer stakeholders.
- Candidates must have work authorization to work in the US.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute ABB's Oil & Gas and Chemical growth strategy across the United States.
- Identify, qualify, and develop strategic growth opportunities before formal procurement.
- Build executive-level relationships with owner/operators, EPCs, consultants, OEMs, and integrators.
- Establish ABB thought leadership through conferences and industry engagement.
- Provide market intelligence to the sales organization and transition opportunities to sales teams.
- Coordinate cross-business opportunities across Electrification, Motion, and Automation.
