Job summary

Flexforce in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable professional to manage full-cycle AP, code invoices, reconcile vendor statements, and support month-end close. The role interfaces with Operations, Production, Engineering, and Field personnel to ensure accurate expense tracking.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Accounting or related field and experience with oil and gas accounting systems like OGsys or OpenInvoice. Office-based position with standard benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive accounts payable or accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and full-cycle AP processes.
• Demonstrated ability to accurately analyze and code invoices and expenses.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle accounts payable from invoice receipt through payment.
• Review invoices for accuracy, approvals, supporting documentation, and proper accounting treatment.
• Code invoices to the appropriate GL accounts and cost centers; process high volume accurately.
• Identify and resolve duplicate invoices, coding errors, and discrepancies.
• Match invoices to purchase orders, contracts, field tickets, and other documents.
• Prepare and process scheduled payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers).
• Reconcile vendor statements and monitor AP aging.
• Assist with month-end close and provide supporting documents.
