Job summary

Downhole Chemical Solutions is seeking an Account Payable Specialist to accurately process invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments. The role supports the Finance team, ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining precise records for internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of AP or general accounting experience in oil and gas, proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with AP automation tools.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of accounts payable processes and basic accounting principles.
• Experience with AP automation and accounting software is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and match to purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments.
• Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable records and files.
• Review and process employee expense reports in accordance with company policy.
• Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and account inquiries.
• Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and company procedures.
• Support the Finance team with special projects and reporting as needed.
