Job summary

C3 AI is seeking an Industry Solution Leader for Oil, Gas & Chemical to drive enterprise AI solutions focused on process optimization and network optimization. The ISL will design, deliver, and scale customer engagements with engineers, operators, and executives to achieve measurable business value.

The role requires hands-on industry expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to guide diverse teams across data science, product, and operations to deliver impactful AI-driven outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years in engineering, manufacturing, operations, reliability, maintenance, or technically focused consulting.
• Deep experience in asset-intensive industries (oil & gas, chemicals, mining, utilities).
• Experience solving complex operational problems and improving equipment reliability, throughput, or operating economics.
• Experience with industrial data and industrial systems (SCADA, DCS, MES, ERP).

Responsibilities

• Own the overall solution strategy, technical direction, and delivery outcomes for engagements.
• Serve as primary customer-facing solution leader and domain expert.
• Identify and quantify high-impact business opportunities across reliability, throughput, and energy efficiency.
• Translate engineering challenges into AI, ML, optimization, and software problems with clear requirements.
• Lead engagements through use-case definition, architecture, deployment, and scale.
• Guide teams to ensure technical credibility and alignment with operational realities.
• Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, data scientists, and product managers.
• Collaborate with customer teams to validate requirements and measure impact.
