Job summary

MasTec Utility Services is seeking an OHE Lineman C in a training role to assist Journeyman Lineman and Foreman. You will work on poles, power lines, and related equipment for transmission and distribution of electricity, learning the trade and supporting the Lineman team.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year of lineman experience, and a valid Class A CDL; OSHA 10 is preferred. This is field-based work with physical demands and safety considerations in outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of lineman experience.
• Valid Class A CDL is required.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain, and inspect transmission and distribution of electrical lines.
• Provide technical skills for reliable electrical services.
• Assist in connecting/disconnecting equipment on customers' facilities.
• Route or reroute power lines.
• Inspect and/or remove damaged power lines.
• Assist in carrying poles and digging or setting poles.
• Perform line switching or sectionalizing as directed.
• Investigate consumer complaints and make repairs to energized lines.
• Provide backup for Apprentice Lineman and assist in completing duties.
• Submit Apprentice Program documentation on time.
