Job summary

MasTec Utility Services is seeking an OHE Lineman B to support Journeyman Lineman and Foreman while in training. You will build and maintain poles and power lines for electric transmission and distribution, following safe practices.

This field role requires teamwork, hands-on learning, and physical work in varying weather. Minimum: High school diploma, 2 years lineman experience, valid Class A CDL; OSHA 10 preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of lineman experience required.
• Valid Class A CDL required.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain, and inspect transmission and distribution of electrical or power lines.
• Provide technical skills for operation and maintenance of reliable electrical services for consumers.
• Assist in connecting/disconnecting, installing/removing electrical devices on customer facilities.
• Route or re-route power lines and inspect/remove damaged lines.
• Assist in carrying poles, digging holes, and other line-setting tasks.
• Perform line switching or sectionalizing as directed.
• Provide backup for Apprentice Lineman and assist in duties.
• Submit Apprentice Program documentation timely.
