Job summary

Gulf Island LLC in Houma, LA, seeks a Pipe and Structural Welder for offshore fabrication. You will weld structural and piping components, set up welding equipment, and perform tests to ensure quality per AWS D1.1, ASME IX, and API 1104.

The role requires 2+ years of welding experience, ability to pass tests, and compliance with safety norms in outdoor industrial settings. A TWIC card and U.S. work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• Must successfully demonstrate the ability to pass a practical welding test.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must pass a background check.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Valid TWIC card.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate welding machine for applicable welding processes.
• Perform welding processes for structural and piping projects.
• Pass required welding test per AWS D1.1 latest edition, ASME section IX, and API 1104.
• Maintain welding quality to pass NDT testing procedures.
• Weld structure (beams, grating, stairways) and pipe using various metals.
• Transport welding equipment to the work area.
