Job summary

GULF ISLAND LLC is seeking an experienced pipe fitter for offshore fabrication in the Gulf of America. You will study drawings, read blueprints, and perform calculations to lay out and install structural and piping components per specifications.

The role requires at least 5 years of demonstrated pipe fitting or structural testing experience, ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen, and a TWIC card. Safety and clear communication are essential in this industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Must have minimum of 5 years of experience and demonstrate ability to pass a written and practical pipe fitter or structural test.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must pass a background check.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• TWIC card

Responsibilities

• Study engineering drawings to determine materials requirements and task sequences.
• Read and interpret blueprint and specifications.
• Perform mathematical calculations, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, angles, etc.
• Measure, cut, fit, and install structural/pipe plate, pipe material, beams, plate, pipe, etc., per blueprint and job specifications.
• Locate and mark workpiece from drawings cutting lines, checking for material thickness, welding shrinkage, and other component specifications.
• Follow fitting procedures and principles used in fabricating offshore jackets, decks, heliports, production facilities, etc.
