Job summary

Gulf Island LLC seeks an experienced pipe fitter/fabricator for offshore fabrication projects in the Gulf of America. The role focuses on reading drawings, fitting structural components, and assembling piping according to blueprints and ISO/QC standards. Candidates must pass physicals and a drug screen and hold a TWIC card.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience and demonstrate ability to pass pipe fitter or structural test
• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
• Must pass background check
• TWIC card
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing

Responsibilities

• Study engineering drawings to determine materials and sequences
• Read and interpret blueprint and specifications
• Perform calculations (adding, subtracting, multiplying, etc.)
• Measure, cut, fit, and install structural components per specs
• Locate and mark workpiece from drawings and check dimensions
• Follow fitting procedures for offshore jackets, decks, heliports, and facilities
• Repair components by dismantling, straightening, and reassembling parts
• Lay out and install piping and equipment per drawings
• Inspect sites for obstructions or weaknesses
• Ensure conformance of workpieces to specifications
