Job summary

Gulf Island Fabrication, Inc. is seeking an experienced pipe fitter for offshore fabrication projects in the Gulf region. You will study drawings, cut, fit, and install components per specifications and safety standards.

Applicants must have at least five years of experience, pass pre-employment checks, and hold a TWIC card. The role involves outdoor industrial work, heavy lifting, and following ISO/QC procedures in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Highschool diploma or GED is preferred.
• Five years of experience in pipe fitting or structural work is required.
• TWIC card is required for offshore access.

Responsibilities

• Study engineering drawings to determine materials requirements and task sequences.
• Read and interpret blueprint and specifications.
• Measure, cut, fit, and install structural/pipe components per drawings.
• Lays out and installs piping, equipment, and other mechanical systems as per specs.
• Follow fitting procedures for offshore jacket, decks, heliports, and production facilities.
