This position starts at $30.18 per hour with a benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k), vacation and tuition assistance. The progression from Technician A to B and C occurs over two years.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Strong arithmetic and data-entry skills.
  • Experience delivering customer service with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with business software including PeopleSoft, SAP, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, maintain and transcribe information for reports and records.
  • Prepare time and mileage reports.
  • Perform arithmetic computations and maintain statistics.
  • Check data for accuracy and process orders, invoices.
  • Communicate with customers, outside agencies, and other departments.
  • Update company records including maps and reports.
  • Receive and dispatch information and orders by phone and radio.
  • Assist higher-grade staff as required.

About us

We are presently seeking an Office Technician A for an opening in Albany, NY. In addition to a starting wage of $30.18 per hour, we offer excellent benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k) plan, vacation, tuition assistance and more.

Under general supervision, to perform administrative support activities of various degrees of complexity, and to perform as required such duties as:

  • Assemble, maintain and/or transcribe information from various sources, prepare and maintain reports, correspondence and records, forms, and orders
  • Prepare time and mileage reports
  • Make arithmetical computations; maintain statistical information
  • Check data for accuracy and otherwise assist in completing various types of orders, reports, invoices
  • Communicate with customers or their representatives, outside agencies, and other departments
  • Update company records including but not limited to maps and various reports
  • Perform administrative support activities associated with the tasks and responsibilities of the department
  • Receive and dispatch information and orders in person and by telephone and radio
  • Assist employees of higher grade as required
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to handle duties that require independent judgment
  • Ability to make arithmetical computations
  • Prior experience in providing exceptional customer service while sustaining attention to detail required
  • Experience with computer applications including but not limited to:
    • PeopleSoft, SAP and Mainframe systems for work orders
    • MS Office Suites
    • Citrix Receiver/ARM FM Viewer
  • Prior experience handling administrative responsibilities is required
  • Knowledge of utilizing record filing systems for document management
  • Experience in entering vacation and sick time, payroll, copying, faxing, and answer incoming calls
  • Experience in monitoring and dispatching emergency work
  • Experience in printing and organizing daily reports/maps for distribution
  • Ability to create queries, run and maintain various reports
  • Prior experience working and communications with outside agencies and various internal and external stakeholders
  • The successful candidate must reside in or proximal to Albany, New York
  • Must pass pre-employment validated company test(s)
  • Satisfactory completion of validated skills testing (keyboarding), as determined by the Company

Note: The progression from an Office Technician A, B, C will occur over a two-year period with one year spent at each level. The complexity of the duties shall increase in accordance with the department requirements and the training provided.

More Information

Hourly Rate: $32.03 per hour
