National Grid is seeking 2 Fleet Technician A (C Vacancy) positions at our Albany location. Starting pay rate is $37.81/hr. Responsibilities include performing repairs and maintenance on fleet equipment under supervision and assisting higher-grade technicians.

About the Position:

We are presently seeking to fill 2 Fleet Technician A (C Vacancy) positions at our Albany location, with a minimum starting pay rate of $37.81. Under direct supervision to perform ordinary types of repairs and maintenance work on equipment, such as adjusting and relining brakes, grinding valve seats, refacing and adjusting valves; and to assist Fleet Technicians of a higher grade.

Job Qualifications:

It is preferred that a qualified candidate for this position possesses the following:

• New York State Inspection License (heavy duty, light duty and emissions).


• Class A CDL License.


• A minimum of five (5) valid ASE certifications, including but not limited to T-1, T-2, T-4, T-5, T-8 or Equivalent

A qualified candidate is required to possess the following:

• Complete set of professional grade automotive repair tools.


• Basic computer knowledge.


• High School Diploma or equivalent.


• Valid driver's license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid's Safe Driver policy


• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Mechanics is required (heavy duty experience (trucks) and/or light duty).

Min Pay Rate: $37.81/hr
