- Oversee department processes and ensure effective daily operations
- Supervise office staff, including registration, clerical, administrative, and unit coordinator positions
- Manage workflow and delegate duties
- Assist the manager with interviewing, hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and training to staff
- Assist with daily operational needs and attend meetings in the manager’s absence
- Act as a resource and escalation point for staff, physicians, employees, and managers
- Oversee time sheets and payroll when applicable
- Coordinate office functions including patient scheduling, physician coverage, phone answering, patient intakes, appointment confirmations, and daily patient charge entry
- Maintain databases, projects, or programs as assigned
- Generate reports and perform miscellaneous duties as requested
- Perform duties with focus on safety, quality, and efficiency as a High Reliability Organization
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- 1–2 years of related experience as a team leader or supervisor with 6 years of progressive, related experience, preferably in a medical setting
