About the Position:

Serves as an Office Administrator (Office Automation) at a lake project or Operations Project (OP) office. Responsible for providing administrative and clerical support and serving as the point of contact and primary source of information for administrative processing. Management may select at the GS-06 or GS-07 grade levels. Full performance is at the GS-07 grade level.

GS-06 Specialized Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes procedural and administrative work in an office environment; preparing correspondence; maintaining files and records; making travel arrangements; maintaining inventory of records for hand receipt accounts on property; making credit card purchases; gathering budgetary data; prepare and monitor labor hours and fund requests; use automated personnel and timekeeping databases. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

GS-07 Specialized Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes procedural and administrative work in an office environment; making travel arrangements, initiating travel orders and vouchers, preparing travel funding requests for authorization. Serve as a government purchase card (GPC) holder for local purchases orders for the office; coordinate training requirements; assist in preparation and analysis of operating budget; use of various types of automated personnel databases to initiate personnel actions; knowledge of financial management systems to complete duties as a timekeeper to complete labor reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

GS-06 Time in Grade Requirement:

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).

GS-07 Time in Grade Requirement:

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
