About the Position:

Serves as a Combat Development Specialist for the Joint Activities Command at Fort Bragg, NC.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience GS-11:

One year of specialized experience which includes preparing formal briefings on areas such as force structure and operational missions; and developing capabilities documentation for mission requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Specialized Experience GS-12:

One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing mission requirements to respond to capability gaps; preparing formal briefings on areas such as force structure and operational missions; and developing capabilities documentation for mission requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement GS-11:

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the second lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).

Time in Grade Requirement GS-12:

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
