MSC Industrial Direct Co.,Inc. seeks an Inventory Management Solution Consultant (IMSC-OEM) to drive revenue growth through solution opportunity management for OEM customers. You will conduct discovery, propose solutions, support signings, and oversee installations.

Role requires understanding of OEM inventory management solutions and the ability to collaborate with sales teams and customers, with frequent travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years supporting value-added customer solutions / inventory management / OEM programs.
• Knowledge of OEM product lines/services & OEM related experience.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware and/or software preferred.
• Driver of execution, ability to work through complex situations.
• 3-5 years Fastener Experience – preferred.

Responsabilités

• Enables explosive sales growth by managing new solution opportunities from customer discovery through installation oversight.
• Proficient with OEM inventory management solutions (VMI, CribMaster, Kanban, Lean, 5S).
• Collaborates with stakeholders to meet customer needs via data collection and solution discovery.
• Conducts detailed discovery on customer needs including data, process improvements, and cost savings.
• Advise on solutions addressing specific customer needs and provide financial assumptions.
• Work with sales to obtain signed agreements in a timely manner.
• Shorten discovery and recommendation processes while maintaining quality.
• Present OEM solutions to MSC/OEM BU Sales Teams to foster partnership.
• Follow MSC/OEM BU policies and ensure project management protocols are met.
