Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. seeks an Inventory Management Solution Consultant (IMSC) to drive revenue growth through on-site discovery, personalized recommendations, and installation oversight at customer locations.

You will tailor MSC's inventory management solutions (VMI, Crib, CMI, etc.), conduct detailed customer requirements, and support opportunities across multiple sites nationwide in collaboration with sales and service teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum three years supporting value-added customer solutions / inventory management programs.
• Knowledge of MSC-like product lines/services & MSC related experience.
• Driver of execution with ability to work through complex situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Organizational & time management skills.
• Problem solving and adaptability; computer literacy in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Explosive sales growth through effective management of new solution opportunities at customer locations.
• Proficient with MSC inventory management solutions including vending, VMI, Crib Software, CMI, etc.
• Partner with stakeholders to meet customer needs via on-site data collection and discovery.
• Conduct detailed discovery on customer requirements and cost considerations at customer sites.
• Shorten discovery and recommendation cycles to accelerate timelines.
• Ensure solutions are tailored to on-site customer needs and provide financial assumptions.
• Collaborate with sales to secure signed agreements in a timely manner.
• Support installations, post-install service, and ongoing customer satisfaction.
• Document projects in Salesforce and provide feedback for process improvement.
