Job summary

Cox Automotive in Florida seeks a Quality Control Body Repair Tech II to ensure OEM quality on repaired panels after paint, using finishing abrasives and compounds per SOP.

You will inspect color match, prep surfaces, buff finishes, remove overspray, and uphold Safety Excellence. Prior buffing or body shop experience and a paint certification are preferred, with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of buffing experience or body shop work preferred.
• Valid respirator fit test.
• Paint Training Certification per HAPS 6H.

Responsibilities

• Inspect refinished panels for color match and finish texture; report issues to management.
• Prepare surface for buffing per SOP.
• Restore refinish panels to OEM quality using prescribed buffers, compounds and polishes.
• Inspect remaining surfaces for overspray and remove as needed.
• Remove residue from buffed panels and ensure finish quality.
• Follow all safety procedures and participate in Safety Excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
