Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2 - 5 years of buffing experience or body shop work preferred.
• Valid respirator Fit Test.
• Paint Training Certification as defined in HAPS 6H.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Ability to operate vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Stand/walk, reach, bend and lift 1-15 pounds; color vision required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect refinished panels for color match and finish texture; report issues to management.
• Prepare surfaces for buffing using finish sanding products per SOP.
• Restore refinish panels to OEM quality with rotary buffer and approved compounds.
• Inspect for overspray on un-repaired surfaces and remove as needed.
• Clean residual compounds from buffed panels and verify finish quality.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in Safety Excellence activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
