Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Quality Control Body Repair Tech II to ensure OEM quality appearance of repaired panels. Schedule is 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday, on-site at a Cox location. You will buff, polish, and refine finishes using approved SOPs and safety practices.

Key responsibilities include inspecting color match, preparing surfaces, restoring panels to OEM quality, and maintaining a clean work area. Requires 2–5 years in buffing or body shop work, with safety certifications.

Qualifications

• Buffing experience or body shop experience required or preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 15 pounds.
• Familiar with OEM body repair processes and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect refinished panels for color match and finish texture.
• Prepare surface for buffing using finish sanding products and technique.
• Restore refinish panels to OEM quality with rotary buffer and polishes.
• Inspect remaining surfaces for overspray and remove as needed.
• Remove and clean all compound residue from buffed panels.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in Safety Excellence activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
