Job summary

Cox Automotive in Florida is seeking a Quality Control Body Repair Tech II to ensure OEM quality on repaired panels after paint. You will refinish surfaces using abrasives and buffing compounds following SOPs and de-logoing as required.

Responsibilities include inspecting panels for color match and finish, preparing surfaces for buffing, restoring panels with the rotary buffer, and maintaining safety procedures. Prior buffing/body shop experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Buffing experience or body shop work is preferred.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions.
• Vision abilities including color vision needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect refinished panels for color match and finish quality.
• Prepare surfaces for buffing using proper sanding products and techniques.
• Restore refinish panels to OEM quality with rotary buffer and defined polishes.
• Inspect for overspray on adjacent surfaces and remove as needed.
• Clean residue from buffed panels and verify finish quality.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in Safety Excellence activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
