Job summary

Hamilton Company is seeking an OEM Automation Engineer to provide remote and on-site applications support, technical assistance, and training to OEM customers. They will coordinate with the Automation Consulting Engineer to address customer needs.

Key duties include developing and testing protocol scripts, optimizing liquid handling performance, documenting projects, troubleshooting, and occasional travel to customer sites to deliver hands-on training.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand and apply programming and liquid handling principles.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and hands-on equipment experience.
• Ability to present to audiences including non-technical people.
• Good planning and customer relationship skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Willing to travel nationally and up to 25% internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develops and tests application-specific protocols on Hamilton products based on requirements from OEM customers or Hamilton teams.
• Optimizes or assists OEM customers in optimizing liquid handling performance for OEM applications.
• Documents applications developed for a project, both within the script and for OEM customer-facing documentation.
• Troubleshoots, tests, and creates programming tools to support OEM customers.
• Travels to OEM customer sites to provide or maintain support for OEM application development.
• Provides information, materials, and training to OEM customers to enable self-sufficiency.
• Maintains communication on progress and findings with teams and customers.
