Job summary

Leidos is seeking an IT Specialist for the Navy SMIT OCONUS program in Diego Garcia to support network operations across CONUS and OCONUS sites. You will monitor, maintain, and secure network infrastructure, perform vulnerability scans, and assist with connect/disconnect services for vessels arriving at piers.

The role requires 2–4 years in networking (or a related Masters) with IAT II and network certifications, US citizenship, and an active Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 2–4 years of related experience, or a Master's with less than 2 years of relevant experience.
• US Citizenship and an active Secret Clearance.
• IAT II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+) and a Network certification (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA).

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Network Operations.
• Advise on distributed network computing issues.
• Ensure efficient operation of network systems, architecture, and topology.
• Assist Cyber Team with defense-in-depth principles and incident mitigation.
• Develop and update SOPs for connect/disconnect services and fiber testing.
• Track vessels, update UCA status, and respond to service targets.
