Job summary

DLA Piper LLP (US) seeks an Outside Counsel Guidelines Attorney to manage engagement terms and OCG processes, coordinating with the General Counsel and New Business Intake to negotiate, draft, and finalize terms and related materials.

The role requires meticulous analysis, cross‑functional collaboration across legal, contracts, privacy and information governance teams, and maintaining the OCG playbook. Hybrid work schedule in US offices.

Qualifications

• Active law license in good standing in state where practicing.
• Experience with Intapp Terms preferred.
• JD degree required.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial review of OCGs and engagement terms, coordinating with the Office of General Counsel and New Business Intake.
• Identifies terms requiring negotiation and proposes modifications.
• Coordinates with Finance, Information Governance, Information and Cyber Security, Data Privacy and Protection, HR and other teams to gather feedback and meet deadlines.
• Maintains an OCG playbook and tracking systems for engagement terms.
• Serves as an Intapp subject matter expert, focusing on accurate tagging of legal and ethical terms.
• Manages compliance with engagement letter policy and disengagement efforts.
• Supports additional projects and special requests as needed.
