HEI Hotels & Resorts seeks an on-site Server at Embassy Suites Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort in Virginia Beach, VA. You will greet guests, take orders, input into POS, and deliver meals with accuracy.

The role requires knowledge of food and beverage service, the ability to lift trays up to 30 lbs, and a focus on guest satisfaction in a fast-paced setting. Tips are a key component of compensation.

Qualifications

• Professional appearance and courteous demeanor.
• Be a team player and help coworkers as needed.
• Basic knowledge of food & beverage, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of table settings, service ware and menu items.
• Ability to remember and promote the variety of menu items.
• Ability to transport large trays up to 30 lbs throughout the shift.
• Ability to operate beverage and toast equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Adapt communication style to different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly manner and explain any specials.
• Record and input orders into the POS system.
• Retrieve and deliver orders to tables with accuracy.
• Replenish beverages and assist with desserts and specialty coffees.
• Present checks promptly and assist with closing out the check.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with policies; attend regularly.
• Assist coworkers as needed to ensure smooth service.
