Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Banquet Server to assist in serving guests during banquet functions at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront resort. You will help ensure a positive guest experience by setting up bars, preparing and serving drinks, and maintaining bar areas.

The role requires hotel or food-service experience, strong guest communication, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic event environment.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Must communicate well with guests.
• Basic knowledge of serving alcoholic beverages.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to handle glassware, knives and bar stock.
• Ability to follow safety and beverage guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Check Banquet Event Orders to determine function, guest count and bar type.
• Set up portable bar in function area according to policies.
• Make and serve drinks following guidelines and safety controls.
• Abide by all state, federal and corporate alcohol-service requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and return bar equipment to storage.
