Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Server Assistant for Orion's Roof at the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort. The role supports the Outlet Manager and restaurant servers, maintaining a welcoming dining environment and delivering stellar service on a busy oceanfront property.

The role requires knowledge of service ware, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and strong communication skills. On-site, full-time position with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth within HEI's portfolio.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation.
• Ability to move or push goods on a hand cart/truck up to 150 lbs with or without accommodation.
• Effective verbal and written communication; adapt to different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Quickly clear dirty table settings and prepare tables for resetting.
• Promptly and consistently reset all service ware.
• Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations with necessary equipment including silverware, linen, and condiments.
• Serve guests with beverages, bread, and butter and replenish as necessary.
• Transport dirty tableware to the dishwashing area for cleaning.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
