Brevard County is seeking an ocean lifeguard to guard and protect beach patrons, provide ocean safety information, and respond to emergencies. The role requires physical fitness, observation and rescue skills, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays on county beaches.

The position offers hourly pay between $21.94 and $22.48, negotiable based on experience, with full-time benefits and county-wide responsibilities across beach areas.

Qualificações

• 500 hours documented hands-on experience as an ocean lifeguard.
• Must be able to pass Brevard County Lifeguard Performance Test and USLA guidelines.
• Must have or obtain a valid Florida driver’s license and maintain it.

Responsabilidades

• Guard the safety of beach patrons and provide information on beach/ocean conditions.
• Observe, monitor, control, and prevent hazardous situations and respond to emergencies.
• Work schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
