Job summary

Expeditors is seeking an Ocean Import Coordinator to ensure timely movement of freight and accurate information within the Ocean Import Department. You will provide exceptional customer service, coordinate documentation, and support billing and vendor interactions.

The role requires 2+ years in ocean/air import and strong communication, with a focus on meeting customer expectations and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in Ocean and Air Import experience.
• Must provide exceptional customer service internally and externally.
• Must have complete understanding of ocean import documentation.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
• Must complete Dangerous Goods Certification within the first 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information for Ocean Import.
• Enter data into the operational system per OPS standards.
• Track and trace Ocean Import Files daily.
• Use department dashboards on a daily basis.
• Send documents to customer or broker for customs purposes.
• Bill clients and vendors accurately per standards.
• Interact with customers to arrange international shipments per service levels.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and carriers.
• Escalate issues to management when needed.
