Job summary

Expeditors is seeking an entry-to-mid level Air/Ocean Export Assistant to support the export process from start to finish. You will assist managers, coordinate with airlines and carriers, and help ensure timely, compliant shipments while maintaining tight customer communication and accurate billing.

The role emphasizes teamwork, operational excellence, and a service-oriented mindset in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of industry-specific qualification (country-specific).
• Good market and product knowledge.
• Effective interpersonal communication and listening skills.
• Pro-active, strong organizational abilities.
• Hazardous Materials certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Manager and Supervisor with air/ocean export department tasks and ensure compliant execution of shipments.
• Coordinate with vendors to secure space and services for customer requirements.
• Ensure accurate and timely client and vendor billing.
• Enter data accurately into operating systems and maintain shipment records.
• Communicate with customers, overseas offices, and carriers to support shipments.
• Support compliance with OPS, customer-specific requirements, and regulations.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and customers to support operations.
• Promote proactive, professional, and solution-oriented customer service.
