Expeditors International is seeking an Ocean Import Clerk in Hawthorne, CA. You will ensure timely freight movement and high levels of customer service in the Ocean Import Department, with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. The role relocates to a new facility at 2001 E.

Dominguez Street, Carson, CA in Spring 2027. You will handle data entry, tracking, document distribution for customs, and billing accuracy, while maintaining compliance and strong supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High School Degree or equivalent; pass background check; legally eligible to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship required; fluent in English; ability to work overtime; able to commute to Hawthorne, CA & Carson, CA.
• Desired Qualifications: Associates or Undergraduate Degree; strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); multitask and stay organized; proactive; strong attention to detail; excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication; able to work independently or in a team; reliable and hardworking.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow.
• Track and Trace Ocean Import Files.
• Send documents to customers or brokers for customs purposes.
• Ensure accurate billing and accounting compliance.
• Provide exceptional customer service for international shipments.
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers and service providers.
