Qualifications

• Coordinate ocean import shipments and related transportation documentation.
• Track shipment milestones, communicate updates, and help resolve delays or discrepancies.
• Work with carriers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, vendors, and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate shipment files, data entry, and import records.
• 1–2 years in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, import/export administration, or related role.
• Knowledge of ocean import processes, shipment documentation, and transportation coordination.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ocean import shipments from origin through final delivery, including shipment tracking, documentation, and status updates.
• Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, drayage providers, vendors, and internal teams to support timely import activity.
• Review and maintain import documents such as bills of lading, arrival notices, commercial invoices, packing lists, and delivery instructions.
• Monitor shipment milestones, identify delays or discrepancies, and assist with resolution to keep freight moving efficiently.
• Update shipment records, maintain accurate data in internal systems, and support reporting related to import activity.
• Assist with compliance, file management, and coordination of delivery appointments for inbound freight.
