Job summary

Expeditors in Humble, TX is seeking an Ocean Import professional to ensure timely movement of freight and information with a focus on outstanding customer service. The role supports billing accuracy, process adherence, and continuous improvement within a collaborative team environment.

You will work closely with the Ocean Import Lead Agent and Supervisor, handling international shipments, communications, and escalation as needed, while contributing to our growth and internal development programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 6 months experience in Ocean Import.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Attention to Detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth movement of freight and information in Ocean Import with excellent customer service.
• Maintain procedures and productivity standards across the department.
• Support accounting tasks and ensure accurate and timely billing.
• Commit to self development and continuous improvement within the team.
• Understand department process flow and identify best practices to boost efficiency.
• Coordinate overseas communications and timely responses to internal and external requests.
• Escalate complex issues to management when required.
