Expeditors International is seeking an Ocean Export Lead Agent to ensure timely freight movements and accurate data handling in the Ocean Export Department. You will track and trace exports, maintain compliance with regulations, and support customers with proactive, solution-focused service.

The role requires 6 months to 1 year of related experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with internal teams and customers.

Formación

• 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of ocean documentation process a plus.
• Pro-active, strong organizational skills.
• Hazardous Materials certification (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information within the Ocean Export Department.
• Maintain exceptional customer service and effective internal communication.
• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow and data entry into the operational system.
• Track and trace Ocean Export files and reporting.
• Meet compliance with internal and external government regulations.
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Maintain up-to-date customers' standard operating procedures in the DLSOPs.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders and escalate issues to management when needed.

Job Description

Scope of Position

Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service within the Ocean Export Department.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system
• Track and Trace Ocean Export Files and reporting
• Meet compliance at all times to regulations internal and external in accordance with government regulations
• Understand department process flow, and looking for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity
• Ensure all customers standard operating procedures in place and updated in the DLSOPs
• Overseas communications, timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external)
• Escalation of problems to Management when necessary

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Understanding of ocean documentation process a plus
• Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
• Pro-active, strong organizational skills
• Hazardous Materials certification (preferred)
