Job summary

Expeditors International in Humble, TX is seeking an Ocean Import Lead Agent to ensure timely movement of freight and information within the Ocean Import Department, while delivering exceptional customer service to clients and internal teams.

You will report to the Ocean Import Lead Agent, collaborate with overseas contacts, and support billing and process improvements. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred with at least six months of Ocean Import experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 6 months experience in Ocean Import.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Attention to Detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information within the Ocean Import Department.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Adhere to procedures and productivity standards.
• Assist with accounting and accurate billing processes.
• Support self-development and process improvements.
• Coordinate with overseas teams and timely email/requests.
• Escalate problems to management when necessary.

Scope of Position

Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service within the Ocean Import Department.
