Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in Chicago, IL, seeks a Process Excellence Manager for the Ocean Freight Product to drive global process standardization, analyze workflows, and partner with regional teams to remove bottlenecks and raise performance.

You will lead cross-functional initiatives, manage change, monitor KPI adoption, and collaborate with IT, Sales, Finance and operations to ensure compliant, efficient ocean freight processes, with some on-site travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field required.
• 8–10 years of experience in process excellence or operations role.
• Strong stakeholder management across management to operator levels.
• Solutions-oriented, customer-centric mindset to identify improvements.
• Subject matter expert in AFR operations tools and processes.
• Experience with CW1, FSI, EDM, ESP, FRP & Reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop global standard for assigned topics; analyze processes and bottlenecks.
• Collect requirements from countries and support global delivery teams.
• Drive country adoption of global processes; develop improvement roadmaps; travel on-site.
• Improve OFR operations KPIs and enable self-optimization via measurements.
• Monitor compliance with government, industry and company rules and regulations.
• Foster collaboration and change management across the organization.
• Work with station and country OFR Operations to drive improvements and adoption.
• Build cross-functional relationships with Finance, IT, Sales, and others.
• Understand stakeholder interests and advise accordingly; influence Senior Management.
• Coordinate with external service providers as needed.
