Job summary

Highlands Health and Rehab is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in the facility, ensuring the highest quality resident care in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.

The position is full-time with flexible scheduling or per diem/PRN. You will screen residents, develop treatment plans, communicate with families and the team, supervise COTA, and ensure proper documentation and billing of services.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Active TN Occupational Therapy license.
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular screening of residents to determine best intervention.
• Evaluate residents to inform treatment plans and goals.
• Communicate evaluation findings, plans, and recommendations to residents and care teams.
• Establish therapy schedules with team members.
• Document and bill for occupational therapy services.
• Oversee COTA and ensure documentation and treatments meet standards.

Highlands Health and Rehab is hiring for an Occupational Therapist OT to plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Status: Full-Time with flexible scheduling or Per Diem/PRN

Job Functions:

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient
• Evaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans; establish short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve goals
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients
• Oversee COTA as needed and ensure all documentation and treatments are carried out with clinical excellence and proper reimbursement practices are being followed

Education & Qualifications:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy
• MUST have an Active TN Occupational Therapy license
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
