Job summary

Bridgeway Health and Rehab is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) to plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in our facility, ensuring high-quality resident care in compliance with federal, state, and local standards.

The role includes screening residents, evaluating and forming treatment plans, communicating findings to families and the interdisciplinary team, scheduling therapy, documenting and billing OT services, and supervising COTA as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Active AL Occupational Therapy license.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular screenings of residents to determine interventions.
• Evaluate residents to develop treatment plans with goals.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to residents, families, and team.
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules with team.
• Conduct therapy per plan and document/bill OT services.
• Perform other duties as required to treat patients.
• Oversee COTA and ensure documentation and treatments meet standards.

Bridgeway Health and Rehab is hiring for an Occupational Therapist OT to plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Status: Full-Time or Per Diem/PRN

Job Functions:

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient
• Evaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans; establish short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve goals
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients
• Oversee COTA as needed and ensure all documentation and treatments are carried out with clinical excellence and proper reimbursement practices are being followed

Education & Qualifications:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy
• MUST have an Active Occupational Therapy license in AL
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
