Job summary

Bridgeway Health and Rehab is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in a facility, aligning with federal, state, and local standards while maintaining high-quality resident care. Status: Full-Time or Per Diem/PRN.

The role involves screening residents, evaluating and planning therapy, coordinating schedules, and supervising COTAs with a focus on documentation and compliant billing.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Must have an Active Occupational Therapy license in AL
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain licensure and certification

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular screening of residents to determine the best intervention or treatment for each patient
• Evaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans; establish short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve goals
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in coordination with other team members
• Administer therapy according to the established plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
• Perform all other duties as assigned to effectively treat patients
• Oversee COTA as needed and ensure documentation and treatments are carried out with clinical excellence and proper reimbursement practices
