Job summary

Lyonsview Health and Rehab is seeking a part-time or PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) to plan, organize, develop, and direct OT services in the facility. The role ensures the highest quality resident care in line with federal and state standards.

Ongoing licensure and professional development are expected as part of a collaborative care team in Knoxville. The OT will conduct screenings, develop treatment plans with goals, communicate findings to residents and families, and oversee therapy

Qualifications

• Must have Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Active TN Occupational Therapy license required.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Screen residents to determine best intervention for each patient.
• Evaluate residents to develop short- and long-term goals and plans.
• Communicate findings and plans to residents, families, and the team.
• Schedule therapy sessions with team cooperation.
• Provide therapy per plan and document/bill services accurately.
• Perform additional duties to treat patients effectively.
• Oversee COTA and ensure documentation and reimbursement compliance.

Lyonsview Health and Rehab is hiring for an Occupational Therapist OT to plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Status: Part-Time or PRN

Job Functions:

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient

• Evaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans; establish short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve goals

• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members

• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members

• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services

• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients

• Oversee COTA as needed and ensure all documentation and treatments are carried out with clinical excellence and proper reimbursement practices are being followed

Education & Qualifications:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy

• MUST have an Active TN Occupational Therapy license

• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
