Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed OTA with state-specific credentials (IL).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.
• Complete required continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Follow the therapist's plan of care and document communication promptly.
• Implement patient-centered, occupation-based interventions and adjust as needed.
• Collaborate with patient, family, and care team throughout rehab.
• Educate patients and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Communicate with supervising OT and other team members.
• Produce clear documentation for payers and compliance.
• Participate in quality of service delivery activities.
• Disclose patient status changes and discharge planning to the team.
• Complete annual education for required program requirements when applicable.
