Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.
• Attend and satisfactorily complete continuing education for acute stroke care.
• 1+ year of work experience as an OTA.

Responsibilities

• Follows the therapist's plan of care and documents communication with the evaluating therapist.
• Implements patient-centered, occupation-based interventions with modifications as needed.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and the care team throughout the therapy process.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers using appropriate teaching methods.
• Maintains clear, objective clinical documentation for payers and quality initiatives.
